Greasy Zoes
The Nillumbik is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. In The Nillumbik area, there is a produce-focused restaurant named Greasy Zoe's. "Nyilum bik," which means "Bad Earth" in the local Aboriginal language Woiwurrung.
Lachlan and Zoe are a two-person business, opening this small 8-seater in May 2017.
GZ serves just 32 people each sitting, and the restaurant's commitment to sustainability, ethical treatment of animals, and a strong emphasis on the environment are among the major driving forces behind its quality rather than quantity mentality.
Greasy Zöes works with the most environmentally responsible producers to develop a changing set menu every day, utilizing only hyper-local produce from rural farmers in Nillumbik and surrounding regions. Creating a level of seasonality and location that hasn't been seen before.

Restaurant St. Lawrence, in the little settlement of Hurstbridge, focuses on food and wine that is as local as possible.
In August 2019, Daniel and Emily opened the doors to their 25-seat restaurant. They previously worked as chefs in a regional, titled restaurant where they both wanted to start their own business focusing on local produce from their respective areas while bringing people together over an exceptional dining experience.
They want to use locally sourced ingredients on a monthly changing, seasonal menu.
